I’m not a
writer, this is actually the first OUAT fanfic I’ve ever written, it came to my
mind months ago, and I needed to get it out of me in some kind of form. I was a
huge comic reader when I was a teenager, so I decided to try and mix two
passions of mine and this is the result. I hope you enjoy it, ‘cause it was
made just for fun. I’ll try to update this story with a new chapter every two
weeks.
Acknowledgements: A big thank you to
the lovely @laschatzi for being my patient beta (I’ll be forever in debt), and
to @mayquita for her enthusiasm!
A huge hug to @erienne1983 one of
the most amazing people I’ve ever met. She’s not part of this fandom, but she’s
always supportive whenever I need her. I love you sweetheart!!
Please don’t crop or repost, just reblog. Thank you!
It’s been years, and so much has happened between then and now but Emma still remembers it so vividly in her mind – the last time she’d seen Killian cry. They had been standing in the deepest part of the Underworld then, in a cavern full of shadows and pale red light and shattered hope. Their last-ditch effort to save him had failed; the tree that bore ambrosia had been cut, and any chance that Killian had had of leaving with her had disintegrated into dust, just like the dried, dead food of the Gods she had held in the palm of her hand.
The only thing they could do, was say goodbye, and ask one last promise of each other: to let the other go and move on. She can still recall those very last moments – his whispered ‘I love you’ and her answering ‘I love you, too’ followed by the fierce press of his mouth against hers.
The way his hand had tangled in her hair a final time as he’d held her close.
The desperate grasping of his fingers before he’d slipped out of reach and grief had pooled heavily in the pit of her stomach.
The lone tear she’d watched trail down his cheek while the elevator had taken her up and away forever.
It was an image that haunted her from the moment he disappeared from sight, that made her heart ache until he was back in her arms, by the grace of Zeus, with his laughter echoing in her ears as she’d clung to him in frenzied relief and had attempted to pepper every inch of his face with kisses. She hadn’t realized it was something that had stayed with her until she had this image in front of her to replace it with – a mile-wide grin splitting his face as he sits on the edge of the side of the hospital bed, facing her, his eyes full of awe and so much love as he stares at a tiny, dark-haired baby tucked safely in the crook of his elbow, with twin tracks of moisture on his face.
Words could never adequately describe her exhaustion after labor, but it all melts away when he lifts his head to look at her, stealing her breath because – oh – he’s never quite looked at her that way before. She’s helpless to the smile that tugs at the corners of her lips, helpless to reach out and gently brush his tears away with the tips of her fingers. She cups his cheek and he turns his head to press a kiss to the inside of her palm, then she reaches down to close her hand around the charms on the end of his necklace. It takes nothing more than a light tug to make him lean forward and meet her halfway, his mouth closing over hers in a hard kiss. Emma giggles when he doesn’t pull away immediately, lips pecking at hers over and over and over.
“I love you, Emma,” he tells her quietly, resting his forehead against hers, and it feels like a promise as endless as time.
“I love you, too,” she replies, a contented sigh slipping past her lips. “So much.” And yeah, this is definitely a much better memory to hold in her heart forever.
“Killian!!!! Come fast… HURRY!!!” – Emma screamed from the bedroom.
“What is it, love? Is everything alright with you and the babies?” – Killian asked worried, fear clear in his eyes.
“Yeah! Everything’s fine. Amazing, actually. Fast, give me your hand.”
He was completely confused, but did as she asked.
“Bloody hell.”
Without even thinking, Killian felt to his knees. He wasn’t one to cry, but this miracle he was witnessing was wonderful and he couldn’t… and quite frankly didn’t want to stop the tears. Their babies were kicking, very strongly. They were already amazing fighters if he had any say in that, his little pirates.
“I love you both so much, and I love your mother more than life itself. I can’t wait for you to come meet us and meet your brother Henry, he’ll love you very much, and you’ll have the best grandparents in any realm. Oh, you’re going to be so cherished by everyone.”
Killian kept talking to their babies, while Emma just looked at him in awe. Everything was worth it, all the trials, challenges, good and bad moments. Every single step that took them to that moment was worth it.
Suddenly he noticed a special type of magic floating in the air.
“That’s really beautiful, Emma.”
“What is?”
“The lights. Your magic, love.”
“I’m… I’m not doing anything, Killian.”
Both of them were amazed to see that their babies were influencing her magic without her even noticing. Little pirates indeed.
Pride was bubbling on Killian’s chest and he couldn’t avoid kissing Emma’s belly to try and transfer a little bit of his love to their children.
And now Emma was crying as well.
“Damn, those hormones…”
They stayed like that for a while, just the four of them, their little family.
“He loved making love. Not in the physical, sexual sense – though she could bet he liked that too. But in that old-world, courtly, talking dirty behind a respectable veil of suggestion, way. Except, on him, and with a face he knew looked like it did…Respectable? Only barely.”
Worried about Hook post 4×12, Emma goes to check on him. They talk. They Netflix. They chill.
Emma was thinking of Killian when she walked back into the loft after dropping Regina and Henry off at their place.
She’d been thinking of him all the way back from the empty house, since Henry mentioned villains and happy endings, even. Or, no, it was more accurate to say that he’d been distracting her since she kissed him goodbye at Granny’s with a promise to call him tomorrow. He’d given her that rueful smile, just as he always did when they parted. But this time it was a little more…bleak?
And really, Killian had been on her mind since their weird, stiff encounter that afternoon, the wrongness of which she now knew she had Gold to thank for.
Summary:Killian returns from dealing with Captain Blackbeard and makes
good on his promises of wish fulfillment.

Killian
made his way silently into his home, not wishing to make his presence known
just yet. He knew it would not be long before word traveled from the docks that
his ship had made port early that morning, but he wanted to surprise his Emma
with the news of his return.
It had
been three long months since he’d seen his beloved. Three months of chasing
down the treacherous Captain Teach, who had waged a personal war against
Killian’s shipping empire after the man had been dismissed from its service. A
vendetta that had run much deeper than Killian had first known, and had only
discovered upon the precipice of its conclusion. A conclusion that very nearly
cost Killian everything he held dear. Something that sent a shudder through him
even now, many weeks later.
He could taste the black powder in the air. It mingled with the
metallic scent of battle, choking his senses as he clashed swords with the foe
he’d been hunting for months.
They’d finally caught up to Teach. After just missing him in port
after port, and being duped with misdirection that had caused them to waste a
fortnight of searching in the wrong direction, his ship had finally been spotted.
It had been Killian’s intention to take Teach, or Blackbeard as he was referred
to now, alive, and he had ordered an attack that would urge the opposing vessel
into surrender. But Teach wasn’t going down without a fight.
Both vessels had sustained substantial damage, and fighting had
spilled across each of the ships’ decks. Nearly impossible to gauge whose crew
actually had the upper hand, it seemed that the outcome would be decided upon
the current bout between the two ships’ captains currently locked in fierce
combat.
Summary: The heroes join forces in their attempt to discover the origin of the mysterious sword while Emma is close to reaching a breaking point. In Enchanted Forest flashbacks, Davy Jones makes a proposition to Calypso that she is unable to decline.
This chapter includes many flashbacks related to new characters. With this being a Captain Swan story, these flashbacks featuring other characters will ALWAYS be relevant/connected to Emma, Killian and their storylines so I advise readers to keep track of all the information the flashbacks provide.
Storybrooke – Present Day
“Last night
was so good,” Emma whispered as she peppered Killian’s face with kisses. She
wasn’t entirely sure what had happened, but she had actually awoken before him
at the first spec of daylight and she had taken the chance to show him just how
thankful she was for having been magnificently worshipped the night before.
Their slow
and tender lovemaking had made her feel things she didn’t even know were within
her reach, her body reacting in ways she had never deemed possible. Sex with
Killian had always been different than any kind of sex she’d ever had, but they
had never really tried to do it slowly – things usually got too hot and heavy
quite fast and they inevitably ended up rushing through it. Now, if there was
an important lesson Emma had learnt from this was that slowing things down can
be amazing.
Sure, the
amount of orgasms she’d had (five, to be exact) had been enough to make her
feel as if she was riding a rollercoaster of never-ending pleasure, but the
sheer intimacy of the moment had been what made her toes curl. Sometimes they
had sex – hot, rough and primal, a need to release all the pent up tension
after a long day fighting witches, monsters or fairies – and most times they
made love, and what they had shared the day before certainly fell under that
category. She had never felt closer to Killian, the adoring smile on his face
and his blue eyes glimmering with pleasure as he slowly moved in and out of her
making her feel as if she had unlimited access to his heart, body and soul. It
had been simply perfect. Hands down, the best sex of her life.
Upon Emma and Hook’s return to Storybrooke, Regina makes a startling decision that surprises Emma while Hook finds himself in an unexpected struggle when he learns one of Henry’s secrets. In Enchanted Forest flashbacks, on her eighteenth birthday, Anne receives a gift from her father that will forever change her life.

Enchanted Forest – 233
years ago
Not one whisper could be heard outside her
bedroom as Anne fumbled with the lock of the heavy wooden door. Her fingers
weren’t as steady as she wished, the fear of getting caught slowing her down,
but never stopping her. She actually felt a thrill of enthusiasm running
through her whenever she tried to open the door to her freedom.
Her father kept insisting on locking her in her
own bedroom, only allowing her to leave when two of his dumb guards were watching
her. He had lost his trust in her and he wouldn’t take any chances, not when
that witch was still out there somewhere. What he didn’t know was that Anne’s
bedroom was full of pirate books where one in particular had a thorough description
of a rather rogue pirate with a very specific technique to open the thick doors
of galleon ships. It had taken her about a year to actually be able to pick the
lock using a hair pin she had stolen from Arietta, her maid, but she had
eventually succeeded. Her effort came in handy in nights such as these – when
everyone in the mansion was fast asleep, she would crack the door open and find
a way to escape out of the house. Her father was smart, but she was smarter.
