So you think they rewrote the airship stuff with Hyde so Emma and Killian could have their scene at the house?

Yup. Everyone is standing in front of Granny’s. Archie is there, Granny, a bunch of extras, Snowing, CS, Regina and Henry.

All looking up at something which we assumed was the dirigible. Episode airs, that scene is gone. But that scene connects with the scene of everyone marching towards the woods and seeing the thing crash.

Instead, we got heavy make out session, dirigible passing over the house, they go outside, see the thing, next scene, everyone is converging towards the woods.

If the house scene was added, it’s because they wanted it for something.

Totally agree with his 100%.

Their make out scene doesn’t make sense with what they filmed originally.

They went home only to come back downtown to look at the sky again?

Either way, they seem to have refilmed an entire set of scenes just to make sure that one stayed in there, even if it was filmed originally they chose to cut the group scene in front of Granny’s instead.

I’m not saying but I’m saying.

The “prophecy” (cuz as others have said, I’ll put 20 bucks on that being Jafar as the Oracle) garbage I can handle. They’d never kill Emma for real, because she dies and there’s no show. It’s her fairytale FFS. No way does a show about hope end with their heroine dying.

You’re just insulting my intelligence, A&E.

It’s the lying that really gets my goat. She straight up lied to his face. I get that she’s frightened out of her mind but if this goes one for more than 1 or 2 episodes I’m gonna be really pissed. (Note: pissed at the writers, not Emma.) Killian doesn’t deserve to be treated this way, not after all the times he’s proven that he’ll stay by her side. So in the immediate aftermath of finding out, I’ll give Emma this week. Maybe even next week, but come on, girl.

The most annoying and sad part? SHE’S KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE WOULD SAY. He’ll tell her the fate is crap. That the future isn’t set and that he’ll fight for them, for her. Because that’s what Killian does: makes Emma feel good about herself. The time she needs that the most she pushes him away. Not a fan.

I can’t enjoy any cute couply moments because she’s lying to him. And they made it about CS because he’s the one who confronted her about the tremors. Even worse, the show has given us NO EXPLANATION why this is happening NOW. What makes Emma being the Savior different this year? Why is she only seeing this now? I need an explanation that’s more than “we couldn’t think of any other plot for her this year.” Because my girl Emma deserves better than this.

Emma knows better than anyone that lies HURT. So yeah, time to process is okay. But this keeps going on, then Killian has every right to get in her face about it and call her out. As her partner, this affects him too and he has a right to know.

Once he does find out: I am all for them beating this thing together. No one takes down Captain Swan. I’m just not going to be happy until the lying stops.

Honestly this. Like I straight up LOATHE the “secrets/lies/miscommunication” trope, it’s the cheapest way to create angst for a couple and the fastest way to take me out of a story until the lie/secret gets resolved. And it’s not like they needed this on top of Emma getting a prophecy saying she will die and that Saviors don’t get happy endings, that’s the internal conflict already, but they are literally repeating the exact same plot from last season here! Emma lies/keeps a secret to her family and tries to solve it on her own instead, I mean really?

Also, in agreement with Michelle here too I just want to clarify before I get hate that I’m not pissed at Emma here, but at the writers, like please for once learn to use different character plots and stop doing this huge disservice to your protagonist’s character development.

Are we honestly surprised by this development?

A&E have often shown how much they love to relationships parallel each other (or they just use it as an excuse to rehash plot lines), and CS has mimicked Snowing for first meetings, early relationship, memory loss, sensing the fate of each other, and finding each other over and over again. The plot of “Character’s death is pretty much said to be imminent or really soon and there is nothing they can do about it” is exactly like Charming and dreamshade from S3 (and we know that Emma is much more like Charming than Snow).

Hook called Charming on that lie, too.

And despite the sweet diner scene, you can see that Killian doesn’t really believe Emma, because he gets her. He knows she’s hiding something and he’s waiting for her to tell him without pressuring her. Just like he left her alone in the woods when she asked. He doesn’t like it, but he gives her the space to work on her issues and is there for her when she’s ready.

I don’t think this will go more than two episodes before she comes clean and remembers that it’s when she works alone that she gets into trouble.

You definitely have a good point here… I just hope she decides to tell him on her own and doesn’t wait until something happens that forces her to do it, like Charming did… in that interview A&E made a point to say that maybe she would tell them and maybe something would happen to reveal it.

i hope she is going over to the Captain Swan house to see KILLIAN. Which would indicate you know….him LIVING there.

Well I SPY A SWORD HANDLE hidden in the background…which looks suspiciously similar to the one our Dear Captain has been seen sporting this season! 😀

WAIT! DO THOSE TREES HAVE WRINKLES?????? IS THAT A BACKDROP?

DID THEY BUILD A SET FOR THE CS FRONT PORCH???

THEY DID. THEY DID.

GO ON WITHOUT ME.

JUST LEAVE ME HERE TO DIE.

Okay but what if this is a deliberate parallel that @lovestruckhook highlighted in this gif set? Like they are purposefully paralleling the Season 4 premiere. In that one they want to talk but an evil snowman appears. And then at the end once that is dealt with Emma asks Killian “Want to go home and see what’s on Netflix.” They don’t but that’s not the point. What if this time around, they are heading home for some much needed alone time and then can’t because instead of an evil snowman it’s an airship that appears and they have to deal with. And then it is for the most part and at the end of the episode they FINALLY go home for some Netflix- and yes that is a euphemism. I mean I could be way off but if they do this kind of parallel I will lose it!!!

image

I really feel like this might be happening. I’ve been getting a 4×01 parallel vibe from the CS spoilers so far.

  • 4×01 started shortly after their first real genuine kiss
  • 6×01 starts shortly after their first real genuine ILY
  • (both in the same place outside Granny’s)

And then in both episodes it looks like they try to have some alone time but are immediately interrupted by the new crisis.

They start in town, then end up in the forest … when whatever they are facing is vanquished then they have a quiet moment in the aftermath.

  • 4×01 she tells him to be patient
  • 6×01 ??? – I suspect that she goes to check on everyone tho because we know that she exits Granny’s at night by herself and looks at her hand …

What I hope happens is she ends up back at their house with him byt he end of the episode … maybe he is watching some of the movies Henry recommended on Netflix when she goes inside and then … coffee????

What is also striking is the other parallels I am seeing to 4×1- Regina will be grieving over Robin, and Rumple and Belle have a dance where she is in a yellow dress again. They are obviously not the same- Robin has died and I think the dance may be a dream, but the similarities are remarkable. And I definitely see something like your timeline happening. If by episode’s end they do not end up back at their house I would be surprised. There is also the spec here about Emma possibly wearing Killian’s shirt in 6×2. I am often wrong but I there’s just something about all of this.

Oh, yes!  And how about both episodes starting out with a new baby that was just named after a deceased character? Another parallel!

I actually think the one pic of Emma in 6×02 was in Jen’s clothes but I’d be happy to be wrong … what is interesting is that we didn’t get many Emma or Hook spoilers for 6×02 … almost like they aren’t available. And the one with Hook and Belle it looks like he is offering her a place to stay because he clearly doesn’t need it …so yeah … it really feels like they should end the episode together at home.

Fingers crossed!

Can’t have a prophetic dream sequence without sleep yo.

Also, I think you ladies might find this post interesting regarding S3 to S5 and S4-S6 matchups I made awhile back? I just found it writing this other post.

@tlynnwords @happinessisblooming

I have way more thoughts on this.

hooks-and-feathers:

I’ve been wondering about the Savior Mythology, Emma’s birth just as the curse to end all curses was cast, Killian’s long life and his vow to destroy the Dark One, season 2, when he came really close, season 5 when he and Emma teamed up and almost succeeded, and their willingness to both sacrifice for the greater good, how Killian was given his life back and came back in a nice display of light magic.

The 6th gif is supposed to be blank.

Making a Case for the Nursery. Why it’s about the Future and not the Past.

This is going to be a baby speculation/meta, and why the scenes in the Underworld had absolutely nothing to do with the past, or Emma mourning her lost childhood, and everything to do with the future instead.

I know some people get kinda twitchy when baby is mentioned which I totally get. Babies are boring as hell. If it’s not your cup of tea, my suggestion is to skip over this altogether.

This is going to touch upon episodes 2×03, 3×06, 5×08, 5×13, 5×14 and 5×15.

As usual, perfect meta. I just wanted to add that Killian looking at that nursery was so deliberate and important the writers actually included it in the script (I remember freaking out when Adam shared it as a script tease for the ep):

I agree with you that this is something they will most likely revisit or they were planting the seeds there, we’ll need to have our eyes peeled this season for more foreshadowing on CS+baby(ies)

Thanks for the addition, I thought I had it. That script is the only reason I noticed Killian doing that, and even then, at first glance, I didn’t even see it, it was a nice anonymous person who pointed it out to me.

I can also add that Killian’s first baby talk ever happened in 5×03, with Robin. He went to ask Robin for his help breaking into Emma’s house, and ended up looking at an ultrasound of a baby instead. That scene didn’t have to go that way at all. They talked about Robin’s mixed feelings.

That scene could have very easily been something that happened between David and Robin, because David is a father, he has a daughter who is nearly his age that he never got to raise, and a baby that he is now raising. That can give someone a lot of mixed feelings.

They chose Killian for it instead.

I do like green apples better than the red ones though

So there’s this wonderful edit this morning on my dash, and because the writers tend to drop stuff along the way in previous seasons, all my brain keeps yelling at me is “sleeping curse, SLEEPING CURSE.” Because we do know what apples mean on this show (not the green ones, obviously, but the imagery is there nonetheless).

And it’s a scene between Emma and Killian no less, all the way back in what? Episode 3×19?

And I don’t think for a second that I’m looking too much into this.

@ripplestitchskein, because I know this is your jam as much as it is mine 😉

Definitely my jam.

And I do think the fact that it’s a green apple and he is talking about Zelena’s arrival IS significant.

I have to imagine that anything related to Regina is going to involve her as well.

And the since the show has been setting Zelena up as the CS Evil Queen I’m completely convinced a sleeping curse would come from HER.

Since A&E have been talking about Snowing’s increased role Im wondering if the EQ will target them while Zelena focuses on CS.

Most of the major CS specific issues are not because of Regina at all, they are because of Zelena.

She curses his lips. She opens the time portal. She prevents Rumple from taking the heart potion. She helps Arthur get the sword. She reveals that Hook is the Dark One, etc.

Just some thoughts I’ve been kicking around.

Okay, no joke, but you’re totally speaking my language right now.

I completely agree that Zelena is the one who has been a torn in CS’s side from the start. I was thinking about this rivalry that exists between Emma and Zelena specifically, and wondering where they stand now that Zelena is supposed to be reformed. Zelena has pulled a lot of shit, and Emma wanted to kill her when she was the Dark One to save her, and Killian. She specifically targeted her above anyone else, the same way Zelena targeted Killian.

Not to mention that we just saw Zelena put Dorothy under the sleeping curse in 5×18. Zelena hates Dorothy, there’s no other way to put it.

Also, her reaction when Killian ran into Granny’s?

“What is the pirate doing here?”

That line was really not delivered in the nicest way at all. It was rude AF.

Not to mention their inter-realm teamwork is why she got the pages that helped with the death of her True Love.

We already know the Mills women have a tendency to blame shift and ignore their own culpability in these situations.

Let’s see if that pattern continues shall we?

Well the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

Too much? Let me find the door and see myself out.

I AM SO PISSED AT MYSELF FOR MISSING THAT LOW HANGING FRUIT.
