So a bit of a speculation before my head slams on my desk and I just fall asleep on the job (some people know exactly how to go about sucking the energy out of me).
I think that following the BTS we got from yesterday’s filming, we can all agree that the Black Fairy has done something nefarious.
I speculated sometime ago that the Black Fairy may have been behind the Dark Curse in order to get her own happy ending. Then the Dark Curse was stolen and hijacked by Rumple who added his Savior clause to it.

ok ok ok so if things are gonna go south, and they are gonna go south, let’s not pretend otherwise, and emma MAYBE gives him the ring back (or he asks her to give it back because it doesn’t deserve to be on her finger rn), and she asks him to leave, and then before they make up killian goes on this big mission with jasmine and ariel to agrabah without telling her……….

I mean, if they’re determined to give us cheap soap opera drama then they better damn well give us the cheesy, super romantic, over-the-top soap opera reunion too.
I was instructed by @optomisticgirl and @thesschesthair to post my thoughts of future episodes… Now.. this is where I think they are going…NOT where I want them to go.
So in the next episode he tells her the truth (hopefully the EQ doesn’t do it for him) and she gets a angry and in a fit gives him the ring back and loses it and has him leave. He thinks it’s over, and heads down to the docks. But even though it’s over he still wants her happy so he tries to find a way to wake her parents and leaves to go on the quest.
Emma realizes she went overboard and goes to look for him. But he’s I already gone. He left a message, but Gideon got rid of it to weaken her. So now she thinks he left, that she chased him away. And that’s when the girls take her out to the bar, to drown in her sorrows. She wants to go after him, but they say he’s not worth going after, and she disagrees, but then she has to deal with SB stuff/Gideon/ EQ.
Meanwhile, Killian is off trying to save her parents and find a cure and calls in every favor and risks everything for Snowing & Emma even though he knows he won’t ever get Emma back. Captain Princess BROtriping and him all mopy and Ariel trying to cheer him up.
Then, victorious he’ll come back with the cure and be ready to leave again, “I won’t stay and bother you, Swan. Just want you happy.” And he goes to leave and she’s “You stupid pirate. I love you.” And then Emma proposes to him.
I do hope this is where they are going. I am assuming this is the romantic adventure they teased because I can see Adam being just that way.
Yeah I also think this is where they’re going too *sigh*
Honestly I didn’t want to say anything after the aTVFest panel bc I know I tend to be too pessimistic, but the way Eddy and Jen answered and teased about CS, I read between the lines that they WOULD “break them up” temporarily in the second half, for me Jen saying they hadn’t done that with CS was a huge red flag, like she was saying “they have never done that until now”. I so wish my gut feeling hadn’t been right *sigh*
But… yeah. I hate this total soap opera plot but I’m sure this is where they’re going, I just hope they don’t fuck it up (even more) too bad and for sure that there’s some kind of do-over on the proposal after all the bs “drama”
OUaT – Thoughts on Proposals & Weddings
All hiatus long I’ve been thinking about the Captain
Swan proposal spoiler. When I first
started thinking about a CS proposal and wedding, I was wondering if anything
could be extrapolated from the Snowing and Rumbelle proposal scenes to give a
clue as to how a CS proposal might go down.
It seemed a natural progression to also look at the Snowing and Rumbelle
wedding scenes to see if anything could be taken from those scenes as well to
predict what could happen in a Captain Swan wedding. Now that we have a hint that that a CS
wedding could happen this season as well, I decided to put everything down in
one post and get it out there before it’s too late.Two caveats before I start rambling on – First, Emma is
A&E’s original princess, OUaT is her origin story and her journey to
finding her happy ending by finding her family, her home, and her TL. Because of that, I think it would make sense for Emma’s
engagement and wedding to break the mold, if there is one, and have each of
those occasions be something completely unique to her and Killian instead of a
mirror or parallel the one that have come before. [Not that I’m letting that stop me from making this post!]Second, I’m using Snowing’s first wedding for the basis
of this comparison/analysis because it is the one we were able to view in its
entirety, and the more spiritual union versus the second, interrupted wedding,
which seemed likely to have been performed more for the public.Ok, now on with, well, with whatever this is…
Summary of
Analysis Applied to Emma & Killian:
- The location of the proposal, whether the proposal
itself is spontaneous or planned, should be some place that is symbolic of Emma
and Killian’s power as a couple.- The “ring” (i.e., the item exchanged at the moment of the
proposal), I think, will be something that holds meaning to Killian, and
something Emma already knows about and how much it means to him.- The location of the wedding, again, whether the event
is spontaneous or planned, should be somewhere that is symbolic of hope and
restoration to both Emma and Killian.- Finally, the person performing the ceremony should be
someone whose persona represents the core value of Emma and Killian as a couple.You did it!
I love the contrasts, especially the mother sacrifice and the father’s approval since we are basically in a season that’s all about child-parent relationship.
Assuming Emma and Killian’s wedding is the thing to close out the finale, what are the chances that their first kiss as husband and wife is the TLK that finally and truly ends the curse and that opens the door for a “new narrative” next season or just ends the series with a future free from any dark curse hanging over SB?

Killian, Percival, the Fisher King, the Grail, Excalibur, the Savior
This post is an offshoot from the one I made earlier
about the Savior’s birthplace being Agrabah.Just as a disclaimer, I’m not a religious person, I’m
not religiously inclined in the least, I don’t believe in a lot much to my
parents’ dismay, and my answer to everything is the Big Bang, because the Big
Bang, and also pragmatism. But I do know enough to recognize symbolism when I see it, so of course, research time, and down the rabbit hole.If you’re not into the religious connotations from
season 5 with regard to Killian’s death and subsequent resurrection, which is a
word I’ve been impossibly gun shy about using, even though that’s exactly what
happened in episode 5×21, if you’re not into the Arthurian Legends and anything
to do with religious symbolism/imagery then this post isn’t for you.
I see that some people already hate the ring?
Let’s remember that this is a television show. They clearly want to tease an engagement. They needed the ring to clearly state that’s what is happening.
A single diamond ring is the most recognizable engagement ring. If it was any other type of ring then people would be arguing that it isn’t an engagement ring at all.

Exactly! This is not about Killian picking a ring. It’s about him picking a ring for Emma and she is a jeans and tee shirt/sweater kind of woman. Even when she dresses up it’s simple and classic. This diamond would be perfect for her.

Precisely! She wears shoelaces as jewelry. And tiny hoop earrings. And the same two necklaces for three seasons. Killian would have walked into the jewelry shop and been like, “She will hate all of these, I need something simple.”
I know I’ve been faaaaairly vocal about this since the promo, so just from this side of the aisle (heyooo)…I just find the ring basic as hell.
Diamond solitare. Hooray.
I mean, Snowing’s ring is a perfect example of how a simple ring can be completely distinctive. That twisty bronze ring that Daniel and Regina had was unique and simple.
Just…idk a diamond solitare is so damed overplayed imo and seems really underwhelming for such a distinctive story. To me it doesn’t say Emma at all, it says…I don’t know? Generic Engagement™? I’d love the ring to have a piece of the both of them – some kind of story like every other engagement ring on this show, especially since Emma has been shown to wear subtle but distinct jewellery that has emotional weight to her. If that thing is the CS engagement ring and the story is that he picked it out for her from a shop…eeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk man.

Not to get anyone’s hopes up, but the basicness of that ring (and I totally agree with you about the diamond solitaire being way too pushed in the media–I have a bestie that went with a sapphire and that was fantastic and perfect for her–I personally don’t want a big ol’ diamond either) is why, if there is a proposal in the works, I don’t think Emma would be saying yes this time around–especially if this is something that happens fairly early in the back half of the season… (plus, you know, they already have a ring)
That said, if anyone deserves the most stereotypical, American Dream™ proposal, it is Emma Swan. Not in the basic way, obs, but in the “This is the standard of your realm and I want to do right by you” kind of way, the way that acknowledges how long she spent thinking she wouldn’t get all the so called “normal” things she saw around her.
I should clarify, I would not be surprised if there was an engagement by the end, but placement is going to be a HUGE factor…
OK yes wow see this is why you’re in my fave column, bc now all I want is 6B bookended by proposals… One where Killian research-nerd Jones is kind of sweating this super hard, feeling v much all of the insecurities of his man-out-of-timeness, and errs a bit, um, *precise* in trying to fulfill all of those Engagement Dreams Of This Realm and Emma being maybe a bit freaked because of that. Because she appreciates what he’s doing but it’s just…off?
The other that’s quiet, intimate, and oddly epic just like them bc they’re both confident in being completely themselves? Maybe? Idk I’d def be up for that.
Basically I’m going to cling to those thoughts for the next few months, thx!
So I agree with the both of you @thegladelf and @queen-mabs-revenge, first that honestly I’m 100% sure there won’t be a proposal just coming back from hiatus, if they do give CS this kind of milestone they’ll do it by the season finale, as they have always done in the past.
And also, yes, I mean it’s not my intention to insult or mock the ring, but even if Emma HAS simple tastes in jewelry, simplicity doesn’t mean it has to be generic, so I’m definitely on board with the two proposals here (and I can totally see Killian sweating it out like that).
6×07 ~ Heatless, or how I fell in love with Captain Swan all over again.
Killian punched back on Emma’s behalf and reminded her of everything that she is, and just how much he believes in her by telling her parents’ story that also happens to be her story.
For me, this was the most important part of the episode. Snowing moved the plot where it needed to go by finally addressing the split heart, and a twist on the good ol’ sleeping curse, but Emma and Killian got the meat of the story.
As always opinions are personal, speculations are subject to change and below the cut we go!

I think Emma’s secret is coming out in 6×03.
Aside from being an episode that seems to be Captain Swan heavy, filled with possible parallels with 1×04, and whatever is going on with Killian assisting Belle while she’s pregnant (yeah, I’m gonna keep talking about how Killian’s story with Belle parallels Emma’s story with Ashley), someone pointed out to me that the episode title is kind of ironic.
Yeah, this is a Cinderella episode, but there’s the whole “waiting for the other shoe to drop” expression, where yeah, Emma’s secret is basically the other shoe dropping for the people who love her.
