Potential new platform for fandom

I’ve seen a lot of complaints about the limits to the Tumblr platform,
about toxicity in fandom, and concerns about Tumblr itself potentially
shutting down at some point. I wish things were different on here sometimes. ANYWAY.

I just joined a new social media platform called Imzy, and I created communities there for both the Captain Swan fandom and for my middle community of CS/Evil Regals. There’s already a general page for OUAT that someone else created.

Imzy seems like a combination of Reddit and Tumblr., except the “leaders” of the communities can set certain rules, can ban people from their forum, and there seems to be a good reporting structure in place. The platform sounds like it was created specifically for fandom.

I don’t know if this platform has real potential or if anyone i interested in checking it out.

If you’re interested, you can sign up by going to the links below. As the “leader” of these groups I can approve a certain number of members while Imzy is still in beta mode. I think it would be fun to check out. It could be a good place to engage in discussions.

I would love to have others be “co leaders” with me. I think we have an opportunity to build what we want there, and create a new set of expectations and groundrules for fandom. The pages I created are super rough, but I don’t want to invest a lot of time unless there’s a critical mass. I am curious to see what we could build there.

OMG did you read my mind? Because I was just debating on making a post on how Tumblr isn’t really suited, like at all, to engage in discussions/debate and I was getting so melancholic about forums and then you go and create this gah, bless your soul.

I’ll definitely join the captain swan one and would also be interested in being a co-leader with you, if you agree 🙂

in light of @caprelloidea and @ripplestitchskein‘s birthday it occured to me that we know so few shippers’ birthdays and i want to amend this, cause we all deserve to feel special and loved on that day

it also helps if somebody wants to secretly plot your birthday gift. it can’t be done overnight (usually), these things take time and i’ve been told can make a diffrence in one’s day

This is a song I wrote about Captain Swan from Emma’s perspective at the beginning of the Underworld arc after she had lost Killian.

STORY TIME:

So I posted a 15 second clip of this song on my twitter ( @CaptainSwanTLA ) and Colin liked it! I freaked out and died yeah I thought that was it. Then the next day a lot of my followers were asking for a full version of the song. So I thought what the hell why not. So I posted it on soundcloud and then linked it to twitter. About 10 minutes after I posted it Colin liked it AGAIN. Then tweeted me WITH JEN TAGGED ASWELL that it was great!! So yeah long story short Colin heard the song and it was honestly the best day of my life.
