Happy 56th Captain Swan Day!

cat-sophia:

Hello My Friends!

@viconbekon is very talented, brilliant art creator and I’m very happy that she created wonderful CS art and shared it with us! I love her CS – fairy tale crossovers and i hope that she will be inspired some day to create more of them.

Vika, thank you so much for your CS art, you added beauty to our Fandom! ❤

All Sunday I’ll be rebloging her CS art, tagging everything as viconbekon cs fanart

Okay, so I have been working on a project for the last few days and I’m excited to have finally finished it and to be able to present it to you!

I have always loved fan blogs dedicated to one specific character and with members who actively post/reblog content about that character. Fortunately for me (and for all of us), the OUAT fandom has plenty of these blogs with very talented people who share their Emma and Killian creations. But while I have in @fyesthesavior one of my favorite blogs/sources on everything Emma Swan, I struggled to find a similar blog dedicated to Killian that was active and did not also include Wish Hook/Rogers – which is perfectly fine. Each person has different interpretations of the show and builds these blogs according to those views. However, as a fan of OG Hook and not a fan of Wish Hook, I found myself wishing there was a blog dedicated only to the original Killian we have followed since season 2. The way I see it, OG Hook and Wish Hook are different characters with their own separate identities and I prefer for them not to be lumped together. As one of my favorite characters, I think Killian deserves to have a blog dedicated only to himself.

Knowing that many people in the fandom feel the same way I do, I decided to create an original Killian Jones/Hook appreciation blog myself. That’s how FYEAHTHECAPTAIN came to life.

If, like me, you have been avoiding Killian appreciation blogs because of the Wish Hook/Rogers posts, this is a completely safe zone for you. The only S7 content that will be posted/reblogged will be related to OG Hook’s scenes from 7×02 and 7×22.

I am recruiting new members to help me keep sharing love for our beloved Captain. If you are a Killian Jones fan, have enough time to update regularly and post your own works, you can apply here.

I hope you enjoy it 🙂

do you ever sit back and reminisce about the old captain swan days? like sometimes i just think back to season three and the day the promo for good form came out and the captain swan fandom LOST IT. like truly lost it like never before. because that was the moment our little crack ship turned the tide and had canon potential. and then we actually got the episode. and then their relationship blossomed and we got a full two episode time traveling adventure of our faves finally coming to terms with their affection for each other. we got “you traded your ship for me? aye” I MEAN THATS A MOMENT I’M GOING TO TELL MY GRANDCHILDREN ABOUT. and then from that moment on it was pure captain swan bliss. i mean sure we had our hearts ripped out a million times (quite literally for some of our faves) but in the end we endured and had so many pure moments. we got hugs, and kisses, and PANCAKES, and engagements (plural!!) and A WEDDING, and now a bABY. we truly shipped the best ship of all time.

Artistic Inclination

pirateherokillian:

Happy birthday, @xemmaloveskillianx!! A couple weeks ago, we were discussing this very topic and I realized what better way to celebrate your birthday than writing it for you! It’s fluffy and of course has a bit of a dramatic moment from our favorite pirate, and I hope you love it (also, the timing of it is pure coincidence because I had planned to write it for you before you went and did it yourself yesterday!).

This is unbeta’d, so I apologize for any mistakes!

Summary: Killian’s always been artistically inclined and is something he has passed on to Hope.

—–

He’d had an artistic sort of inclination for as long as he could remember. He could still recall the scraps of paper and bits of charcoal his mother would let him use while she would try and figure out something for supper for him and his brother. That same brother, a handful of years later, stowing away as much parchment as he could so Killian could have something to do besides drink between the grueling hours of slave labor.

It was a small measure to pass the time in Neverland, what little he could actually gauge of time in a place where it didn’t really exist. It even got to a point where almost every inch of his cabin was covered in sketches of all manner of things and people he couldn’t seem to get out of his thoughts during the many sleepless nights only an orphan could know in that accursed land. They’d eventually ended up destroyed in a drunken rage, his hook shredding everything from the likenesses of Liam, Milah, and Bae, to the dark depictions of severed hands and blood-thirsty crocodiles. Still, no amount of rum or anger could keep the itch to sketch it all over again as the centuries trickled by.

Even in the chaos that been much of his life since returning from Neverland for what he had then considered the final time, Killian still had found time here and there to keep the habit alive. Emma had come to cherish the portraits he had done of her before they’d gotten together, and after, as well as the ones of her family and their friends and their not-so-sleepy town in Maine. She stoked his passion in every part of his life, and his art was no exception.

And it was becoming more evident that said passion and inclination for art had passed onto the next in the Jones line. Hope Swan-Jones gravitated towards pencils and paper in much the same way he had as a lad. Her young life was a far cry from the hard one he had managed to scrape his through all those centuries before, but it seemed her desire to get things down in sketches was just as prevalent.
