  • Huge thank you to the wonderful @cshappybeginning for the amazing poster she’s created for this fic!
  • Tagging @yayimallamaagain to save her some time.
  • Notes: this was without any doubt the hardest chapter that I ever had to write in my life. It was really challenging to find a way to properly deal with what was happening to the characters from the past and how those events affected Emma and Killian. I only hope that I succeeded in doing it well and that you enjoy this chapter. There will still be some unanswered questions, but they will be explained later on. Promise 🙂

The cool
crispness of the wind blowing in their faces was the first thing Emma and
Killian noticed before they took in their surroundings. There was an old,
secular building in front of them and there were children running around the
courtyard protected by a wooden palisade. There were mostly boys, dressed in
typical, old-fashioned Enchanted Forest clothes. Some seemed to be playing an
ancient form of soccer, while others were spinning a top near a water well.

“This
looks like some kind of playground,” Emma didn’t bother to whisper. They
remembered how this worked: no one could hear or see them. They were nothing
but spectators in these memories.

“Aye,
it’s a grammar school. See the monks over there?” Killian pointed at the
two men wearing traditional brown monk robes. “There is just one thing I
don’t understand. This is one of my mother’s memories, but as far as I recall, grammar
schools were exclusive to boys.”

“Not
this one. Look,” Killian followed Emma’s gaze and spotted a little girl
jumping from one of the wooden benches to join the boys chasing after a rag
ball. “Is that her?”

Killian focused
all his attention on the little girl with blonde curls who seemed desperate to be
given a chance to show her skills.

“Anne Cormac!” one of the monks yelled in the
distance, before making his way to the little girl in order to drag her away
from the boys.

“I
guess that answers your question,” Killian said, clenching his jaw at the
sight of the monk gripping his mother’s arm more harshly than necessary. It was
a shame he could not interfere with any of what he was witnessing, otherwise he
wouldn’t mind showing that bloody monk that was no way to treat a child.

My Top 10 Captain Swan kisses
3: Where Bluebirds Fly (Season 6, Episode 18)

What can I say that hasn’t yet been said about this steamy scene? What I love the most about these kisses is how they go from passionate to gentle and then to passionate again until they escalate into a thirsty “I-gotta-have-you-now-screw-the-pancakes-and-let´s-bang-on-this-kitchen-table” make out session. I think the reason why I find myself rewatching this scene so many times is because these kisses are the perfect mix of the passion and desperation we saw in their first kiss in Neverland and the tenderness and bliss of their second kiss after their adventure in the past. It’s gentle. It’s rough. It’s beautiful. It’s hot. It’s pancakes. It’s Captain Swan.

I’m sorry Emma

flyflyangel:

I’m sorry because even if Captain Swan has been confirmed True Love more than once, some people still want to ignore your happiness, that you married your True Love in a musical episode, that you finished the show sorrounded with your True Loves, I’m sorry some people are so bitter about this that they still will ignore that you are happy and found True Love with someone who is not their fave.

I’m sorry Emma of what those ‘fans’ do to you and how they treat you just because you followed a path different of what they wanted.

I’m sorry you were raped and abandoned by the father of your son, I’m sorry you fell in love with someone who never loved you enough and prefered to send you to jail that to stay with you, I’m sorry some ‘fans’ wanted you to end with the man who make you create those walls and be incapable of trusting people, or the woman who make you grown up as an orphan and wanted to kill you even when you were just a new born. But I’m happy you now found your True Love, someone who will always put you first, that just want the best for you, that loves you
unconditionally, someone who is a stepfather for your son and the father of your beautiful little girl.

I’m sorry those ‘fans’ can’t accept your happy ending because they are bitter.

I’m sorry those ‘fans’ just treat you as a trophy for their faves, ignoring your wishes and the people you actually really love, like your husband, your True Love and father of your daughter.

I’m sorry they can’t accept that you kiss and feel the people you want, in this case, your husband, your True Love.

But now this, you’ll live in our hearts, minds and fanfictions. There you’re loved and cherished – from us & Killian, your husband, Henry, your son, Hope your little daughter, Snow and Charming, your parents, Neal your little brother, Ella your daughter-in-law, Lucy your granddaughter, and Elsa your best friend. No one will reduce you! No one will ignore who you really are! Who you really love, your real path, no one will treated you as a trophy, no one will hate you for not following their fantasies or ignore your real story, because we love you as you are, with all your story, we want to celebrate you as you were presented.

We will always loved you and remember you as the real you, as the Emma Swan whose story we followed these years.

Could you ever pick out your least favorite Captain Swan moment? (I honestly think all of them are special and important in some way so this question is just for fun.)

lizacstuff:

My least favorite Captain Swan moment for Killian is when he seriously contemplated leaving in 6×14. No, writers, just no fucking way.

My least favorite Captain Swan moment for Emma was when she instantly surmised that Killian had left her even though they live in crisis-a-minute Storybrooke with the current villain specifically targeting her and she was so certain he had abandoned her that she was taking his belongings to the shed just one day after he’d disappeared.  No, writers, just no fucking way.

Nothing else over the 5 seasons they were on screen together even comes close to that nonsense. The writers completely, 100%, failed with that story, and failed to understand their characters. Badly done, A&E.
