Well, here it is y’all! We’ve been blessed with some absolutely incredible fic and art so far in the CSSNS! Sorry it’s taken the whole week to get this up, but we got home from vacation last weekend and between laundry, cleaning house, and the holiday this week, I just needed a little down time before tackling this project! So without further ado, here we go!
So as you can see, we have been showered with some incredible fic so far with much more to come! Congratulations to all those writers who have finished their labors for this event! I hope you’ve had fun and that you enjoy all the other offerings. For those of you still working, I am absolutely beside myself with eager anticipation for more from you all! Thank you all so very much for your participation and enthusiasm for this event! We have much more to come in July and August. In case you didn’t see my post with the wks5&6 preview, we will now have 4-6 fics dropping each week between now and the end of the event! So hold on to your butts! This post is long enough that I decided to separate it and the Second Wave preview post. Look for it tomorrow with links to fics and art that have already dropped this month included. Thanks again everyone! And make sure to give all the magnificent authors and artists some love for their outstanding work!
The Rusty Spotted Cat ~ ‘The smallest feline in the world. He may look like a kitten – he’d still fit in the palm of your hand – but this little male is very nearly fully grown. He’ll soon be setting off on a solitary life, fending entirely for himself. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in daring.’
Notes: this was without any doubt the hardest chapter that I ever had to write in my life. It was really challenging to find a way to properly deal with what was happening to the characters from the past and how those events affected Emma and Killian. I only hope that I succeeded in doing it well and that you enjoy this chapter. There will still be some unanswered questions, but they will be explained later on. Promise 🙂
The cool
crispness of the wind blowing in their faces was the first thing Emma and
Killian noticed before they took in their surroundings. There was an old,
secular building in front of them and there were children running around the
courtyard protected by a wooden palisade. There were mostly boys, dressed in
typical, old-fashioned Enchanted Forest clothes. Some seemed to be playing an
ancient form of soccer, while others were spinning a top near a water well.
“This
looks like some kind of playground,” Emma didn’t bother to whisper. They
remembered how this worked: no one could hear or see them. They were nothing
but spectators in these memories.
“Aye,
it’s a grammar school. See the monks over there?” Killian pointed at the
two men wearing traditional brown monk robes. “There is just one thing I
don’t understand. This is one of my mother’s memories, but as far as I recall, grammar
schools were exclusive to boys.”
“Not
this one. Look,” Killian followed Emma’s gaze and spotted a little girl
jumping from one of the wooden benches to join the boys chasing after a rag
ball. “Is that her?”
Killian focused
all his attention on the little girl with blonde curls who seemed desperate to be
given a chance to show her skills.
“Anne Cormac!” one of the monks yelled in the
distance, before making his way to the little girl in order to drag her away
from the boys.
“I
guess that answers your question,” Killian said, clenching his jaw at the
sight of the monk gripping his mother’s arm more harshly than necessary. It was
a shame he could not interfere with any of what he was witnessing, otherwise he
wouldn’t mind showing that bloody monk that was no way to treat a child.
Let’s run down the thrashing her former costars take in that article she retweeted, shall we? Can we assume that Lana endorses all these negative opinions?:
Dania Ramirez “lackluster delivery of lines and uninspired expressions”
Liam Garrigan
“
the actor wasn’t able to mesh with the other performances”
Greg Germann
“The underworld was a fun and well thought-out change of scenery. It’s just a pity the show couldn’t find the right actor to rule over it.”
Georgina Haig “The actress’ performance wasn’t fit for such a popular, and timely character.”
Jessy Schram “Schram’s act never felt authentic, nor suited to the show. Her performance was no match for some of the great acting by some of the season regulars.”
Parker Croft “Constantly flat and bordering on lifeless”
Jamie Chung “Chung’s acting was acceptable, but never came to the limelight in story or performance”
Robin Weigert “Turning Bo Peep into a gangster was a peculiar choice to say the least, but what was the final straw was Weigert’s pointblank silly portrayal. Stark fans of the show point to her casting as a blemish on one of their favorite programs.”
Merrin Dunghey “The trio of Disney antagonists was a clever idea, save for the underwhelming result of Merrin Dungey’s Ursula.”
Jamie Dornan “he didn’t exactly light the screens on fire”
When you’re an unemployed actor with apparently no prospects is it smart to retweet an article that lists the sister of the President of ABC as the second worst casting choice on the show ever?
She isn’t oblivious, she definitely doesn’t care and has her head so far up her own ass she doesn’t even think of potential consequences of her thanking the writer of that “article”, she just loves to get praise from her sycophant fans and is so thirsty for it she doesn’t care about the rest. She’s the worst kind of diva and I’m so not sad she hasn’t find any new work, and I doubt she will in the near future.
But who cares if an article trashes Dania Ramirez, Liam Garrigan, Greg Germann, Georgina Haig, Jessy Schram, Parker Croft, Jamie Chung, Robin Weigert, Merrin Dungey, and Jamie Dornan, as long as it praises Lana amiright!?!?
