And I’m tagging those who might be interested/those who I know are excited about it (some people might have seen this SP already, but that doesn’t mean you can’t share in the love 😉

True Love Will
Always Find A Way

Ladyhawke AU

Princess!Emma &
Pirate!Killian Jones

Emma is one of the most beautiful princesses
in the Enchanted Forest, and Killian Jones is one of the most cutthroat pirates
to sail the seven seas. When Emma refuses to give Baelfire any hopes he might
win her heart, a set of events is set in motion, one that will forever entwine
the fates of the princess and of the pirate.

Part 9

Emma’s not expecting
this. She knew he’d be angry if he were to find out she’d taken the wolf up on
deck, but she’d expected him to write her angry missives instead. But this
…silent brooding is starting to worry her.

She had been surprised
to not find a letter that first day, but after speaking to Henry and seeing the
drawings in question, she understood. He was upset with her, and it was within
his right; she just hoped he’d understand and let it go.

But three days later,
they’re still in the same situation. Killian is not talking to her, and she’s
starting to get miffed herself. Yes, she disobeyed him. Yes, she had gone
against his wishes and taken the wolf outside, unchained. But didn’t he see
that he had nothing to worry about? Besides, it wasn’t fair for her to roam
free during the day, and for him to be shackled in the hold at night. Hawks are
just as deadly as wolfs, thank you very much.

Sighing, Emma tries to
decide if she should be the one to reach out to him. Killian’s been nothing but
accommodating so far, so maybe he deserve a bit of leniency. She just has to
decide how to go about it. Placating someone who is upset with her is not something
she’s had to deal with often. She may have gotten into hundreds of scrapes
while growing up, but her parents had never stayed upset with her for more than
half a day. They had always talked to her, explained why she should not have
done that or how she should have handled something better, and she’d always
felt loved.

But this is new and it’s
making her feel rejected and off kilter. She doesn’t like it one bit. It’s not
that she’s sorry about it, she’d do it again, but she’d like to look into his
eyes and explain her reasons to him, find a way to soothe him and allay his
fears. A face to face meeting is out of the question for now, so she’d have to
rely on words again. Which is not at all fortunate, since she’s more of an
action girl and words are really not her strong suit. Maybe some fresh air
would do her some good.

(Because I am channeling my grrrr into CS feels.)

They don’t leave the house for two whole days. By some miracle, Storybrooke manages to leave its sheriff and savior alone long enough to allow her the relaxation. (Killian wagers that the prince and princess are behind silence of Emma’s talking phone, for which he will have to thank them profusely when he next sees them. He will not, however, mention to either of them exactly what he and their daughter have done with some of that time.)

On the third day, it’s not Storybrooke duty that calls but semi-parental duty: Henry sends Killian a little word message asking to go for a quick sail on the Jolly. A grin tugs at Killian’s lips. It’s an absolutely beautiful morning and a sail with the lad sounds lovely.

He’s surprised, then, when Emma vehemently says, “No.”

“Love, we’re just going for a sail around the harbor.”

“No.”

She’s even more of an open book to him now than she was when they first met, and he can see the fear swimming in her eyes. He softens. “Emma, you’re not going to lose me again.”

“Three times, Killian,” she says softly. “Four if you count Author World. I just …”

He pulls her into a hug. She melts into his embrace and holds on tight. “We have to go out and face the world sometime, love. I mean, I have no complaints about the time we spent christening the various rooms in this house” – he feels her chuckle – “but our future is beyond these walls as well.”

“I know,” she whispers.

She’s still clinging, though Killian can’t blame her. After all they’ve been through, he’d be more surprised if she wasn’t. But staying in the house isn’t the answer. “Why don’t you come with us?” Killian offers. “The lad and I will sail to a nice, quiet spot and the three of us can relax for a little while.”

That gets her to pull away and look up at him, a hesitant smile on her face. “You’re sure? I know the captain and first mate thing is your thing with Henry. I just don’t want to intrude.“

“You could never intrude, love,” Killian assures her before pressing a kiss to her forehead. “So. What say you?”

She glances to the window, where the bright sunshine is spilling into the room and making patterns on the hardwood floor. “I guess we’re going sailing.”

Killian grins. And his newly restarted heart skips more than a couple beats when she wraps her arms around him and whispers, “And after we come back to port and take Henry home, I believe there’s a few rooms on the Jolly we could christen, too.”

CS ff: “Lethologica” (Chapter 6/?) (au)

lifeinahole27:

Summary: Maybe if they could think of the perfect word to describe their friendship, everything else would fall into place.

Rating: M

A/N: Endless handholding from @nothandlingit came in handy through the last three days when this chapter practically erupted from the muses and they didn’t stop shouting until it was written. I’m gonna go sleep for the rest of the week, now.

Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 || Chapter 4 || Chapter 5 || Start from the Beginning onFFN & AO3

The thing about having a best friend like Killian is this: Emma is
pretty good at knowing exactly which buttons to push at exactly which time. Prime
examples of this have happened all across the timeline of their friendship, and
sleeping together doesn’t change that one bit.

Killian’s expression when Emma needled him about the time they took in
the shower the morning after their first night together was totally worth it.
She held such high reservations about what them having sex would mean to their
friendship, but the entire first event proved that nothing about them changed
in the face of a new form of intimacy. They’ve always had a particular level of
coziness in their encounters, and so transitioning from friends who hang out
and watch movies to friends who hang out, watch movies, then fuck each other’s
brains out was almost as easy as breathing.

Speaking of breathing, there is the little hiccup with how her
breathing speeds up when she thinks of him now. How her lips tilt up just the
tiniest bit at the mere thought of his name. Seeing him smile at her warms her
so much that she feels the need to crank the AC up just a little bit more when
he’s around.
