Summary: After many years, rumors swirl that the Evil Queen is back and filled with more vengeance than ever. But instead of setting her sights on Snow White she goes for the thing Snow loves most, her beloved daughter Emma. For her own safety, Emma is to be transported to safety on an unassuming merchant ship, where she meets two indentured servants hoping for a way to find their freedom.
A/N: Here she is! My @captainswanbigbang fic, I have been working on this fic for three years and I would not have been able to finish had it not been for CSBB. My two betas @justanotherwannabeclassic and @eloquentlyenchanted where both a godsend and this fic would not be nearly as good as I hope it is if it wasn’t for their hard work. I’m truly so grateful for you both. I also want to give a shout out to my artist @princesse-swan for going above and beyond with my chapter headers, that’s right I said headers because this wonderful person made multiple chapter headers for me and I cannot wait for you all to see them!
I would also like to note that this work features Regina in full on Evil Queen mode and does not shy away from it. This fic also does include some battle scenes, mentions of sex, sexual assault, and minor character death.

“How are you feeling Daddy?” Regina sat at her father’s bedside, sponging his sweaty forehead.
“Not well,” he coughed.
“Don’t talk like that, you’re going to get better.” She picked up the bowl of soup on his nightstand. “I’ll make sure of it.”
“Regina, I am an old man-”
“No, you are all I have in this world. What would I do without you?” she gripped her father’s hand. “I’m not strong enough.”
“You’re stronger than you know Regina, look at you. You’ve set aside your hatred of Snow White for all these years, I cannot tell you how proud you have made me.” He coughed into a handkerchief. Regina helped him to sit up, rubbing him on the back, her eyes fell onto the bloodstained handkerchief.
“Daddy how long has this been going on?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Henry tried to hide the handkerchief.
“I’m talking about the bloody handkerchief, how long?”
“A few months,” he murmured before coughing again.
“Why didn’t you tell me? I could have healed you, I would have found a way, you know it.” Regina pleaded.
“Regina I am old, I have lived a long life. And watching you grow up has been the highlight of it.”
“Excluding the evil parts, I’m assuming,” Regina muttered.
“No, including them. You lost your way, but you found your way back when you refused to cast that curse. You never did tell me why,”
“Because I couldn’t live without you,” she said as two large tears fell from her eyes. “That would have been the price I had to pay.”
We open up this tale with a glimpse upon a Regina who appears to have been keeping to herself for many years, a retired Evil Queen, if you will. But it looks like circumstances may just bring her back to the brink, with Emma Swan bearing the brunt of her wrath. WHook arrived at the docks to find his crew lounging around like the vermin they were, and with a loud bang woke them all. “Get up, you filthy bilge rats. Playtime’s over.”
They slowly roused, giving him enough attention for him to order, “I need the Jolly Roger ship shape before we set sail. You have an hour.“
“But, WCaptain,” Smee interrupted, “you haven’t even told us where we’re going yet."
"We,” WHook boasted, “are going to the land without magic, Mr Smee. Once the WEvil Queen casts her curse, I will finally get my chance to exact revenge on the Dark One."
"Actually,” the WEvil Queen sauntered across the dock, “no one’s going to be going anywhere. And neither will I,” she finished dejectedly, moving closer to where he was standing.
“Your majesty,” WHook gave her a confused look, “shouldn’t you be casting your curse?"
"Well, I would be,” she began, “if that insipid WSnow White and her WCharmless Prince hadn’t stopped me."
I am reblogging with my own comment to add that I had the pleasure of reading part of this fic already. If you are an OUAT fan who was willing to give season 7 a try even without Emma, but ended up disappointed in how the Wish Hook storyline was handled, I highly recommend this story. Wish Hook is still present, but he interacts with a very special character that I am sure CS fans will enjoy 🙂

Killian had
been waiting for this moment for quite some time, but now that it was here, it
still felt a little surreal. He had never thought this was something in the
cards for him. He had never thought that, one day, he would be excited to leave
the Jolly Roger and settle on land to share his life with his one True Love. It
was everything he could have hoped for: he would be sharing a home with Emma
while getting to keep his ship.
