That’s because the characters don’t drive the plot. It’s the other way around, the characters are props of plots that don’t have any value or permanent print after they’re over.
And because the writers are too fucking lazy to come up with new a d interesting ways to create conflict. So time after time the characters go through the same shit over and again even if it makes no fucking sense.
And let’s face it, A&E seem to be if the mind that hero characters are only interesting when they’re suffering.
Yup, perfectly stated.
It stopped being compelling storytelling like two seasons ago lbr, but in the case of CS is even more ridiculous because after DYING AND GOING TO THE UNDERWORLD they had to lower themselves to the most tired trope for soap opera drama? “Temporary break up for Reasons” for real? (because lbr this is where they’re going with this, they’re going to separate CS because god forbid they find plot reasons to delay the engagement). Like I said, at least it’s not a love triangle, although I better shut up because watch them have Tiger Lily be like an ex-girlfriend or sth *rolls eyes*
It’s so frustrating though, like I thought we had earned our happy ending already after S5 but guess they just truly did forget they even wrote it -___-
