I think is so cool and so unusual to really have characters grow and change as much as they grow and change on Once Upon a Time and obviously I know Emma better than anyone else… I think it’s amazing that … what this season has taken her to is a place where she’s brave enough and strong enough to be vulnerable enough to love without walls up. And that’s probably the scariest, hardest thing in life. You know, I struggle with that. I catch myself starting to guard my heart and put my walls up as soon as I feel vulnerable and I think ‘oh, god, this is the journey that this character has been on for five years is getting to a place where even if she’s going to be hurt and even if she’s gonna lose Hook in the long run in some way she’s going to love him without boundaries and without her ego getting involved.

Wait what are people talking about now about a deleted scene where Clippy!Rumple said he “can’t stand” Killian? And this is apparently being celebrated by the usual suspects ofc…

People are terribly confused by what the DO curse is all about.

Dark Clippy Rumple’s whole purpose was to snuff out all the light in Emma .. and during that date on the ship things got EMOTIONAL so it’s no wonder the voice in her head would want to criticize the date and try to turn her away from the man she loves.

Sigh … I think some fans need to stick to a show with less complex plots … like, maybe something on Disney Junior is more their speed …

Yeah I just read that post that crossed my dash again and they clearly have the DO curse confused with the shattered sight one, as the argument was that Clippy!Rumple is supposed to represent “Emma’s darkest desires” for some reason… like how do you get to that conclusion when it was clear since the second he appeared he was there to “guide” (i.e. manipulate) Emma into embracing the darkness and doing what it wanted.

Critical thinking skills and hate goggles don’t mesh well that’s for sure.

Did you see the other deleted scene with emma talking about bloody neal with regina (i am gonna put it down to them having a talk on first loves) but why does it feel like emma needs neal’s permission or something in the first place, just feel so bloody wrong. The hearing neal’s name etc does my head in lol

gentlesleaze:

So I watched it and I’m livid. I’ve gone into the reasons why I hate SF and the writers’ complete apologist retconning of Neal’s character many times before, so I’ll put this rant under a read more:

All of this tbh

Also the really fucked up part is that apparently that scene was about Emma telling Regina to go look for Daniel’s grave or something, so that means they legit tried to put Neal and Daniel in the same level, or comparing them somehow, and that seems so fucked up to me? Because Daniel was a GENUINELY good person and really loved Regina and never ever did anything even remotely close to what Neal did to Emma.

Seriously can they please stop already with all the Neal whitewashing and retconning? It’s 2016, it’s time.

No but literally it destroys me in all the most wonderful ways that Emma is the first to have loved Killian to the core with his hook. It was a symbol of all that was taken from him. A symbol that’ll he’ll never completely be an honorable figure again. A symbol of lost innocence. But it means so much to Emma. She’s such a fan of it, that without it, he isn’t the man she fell in love with. Without it, he’s not entirely whole. He’s not himself. And she missed all parts of him. Missed.

She loves every part of him, just as he loves every part of her.

GOOD LORD, THIS IS THE EPITOME OF LOVE. AND I AM WRECKED.
