I’m staying home today for the finale and I want to know, what has been one or some of your FAVORITE CS memory/memories in the fandom? Was it a filming spoiler day? SDCC weekend? Meeting someone who became a great friend? Meeting our babies at one of the conventions? Writing/drawing/etc.? Reblog this and let me and others know! Let’s spend a little time today reminscing about all the wonderful times we’ve had in fandom and as a fandom, remembering what we’ve loved and what we’ve learned and what we’ve gained all because of this show and the story about a lost savior princess and a dashing pirate hero ❤️❤️

What a wonderful idea. 

Obviously the friendships formed have been wonderful, and are a huge part of what made this fandom great. 

As far as fan moments, I think the three consecutive amazing San Diego Comic Cons: 2014, 2015 & 2016, were some of the most amazing days ever. Being a long time fangurl, but not having had really participated in fandom for a genre show during the age of social media, WOW, was SDCC 2014 a revelation.  Going in I had no idea that an avalanche of content that was headed our way.  I hadn’t made any special plans that weekend, but once I realized what was happening it’s all I did all weekend, from Friday night through when I went to work on Monday. I’m not sure I even slept??  Also I had no expectations that day, so every new thing was a gift.  The next two years kind of got into “Oh, boy, I hope this happens again” (which it was delightful when it did!)  but that first year for me was special.

There were also so many shooting days that were a delight. We were so well fed by all our fellow fans who went to set and fed us with instant updates and photos. THANK YOU!

During S3, I would definitely see shooting spoilers, but after the fact, I wasn’t yet tuned into actual shooting days and the excitement of refreshing my dash all day long looking for nuggets of information.

The first Steveston day of S4, was the first time I experienced that, and it was FUN. I loved refreshing and a new picture of Colin and Jen would pop up strolling around set with an umbrella.  That was a good time.

Another day I remember, was late night Steveston shooting for 4×04 and waiting up until well after midnight to get a glimpse of Colin in Killian’s new modern clothes.  I wanted to see that so badly.  That same episode also had the shoot day on the docks where they covered JMo so we couldn’t see Emma’s date clothes, except for her shoes and maybe a hem? So fun. 

Steveston for 4×20 also springs to mind.  Emma and Hook had that nice reunion and JMo and Colin might as well have been doing a photo shoot for how many excellent photos we got of the two of them as Hook and Emma.  

Then of course all the shooting spoilers for 5×01 were exciting. Confirmation that Hook and Emma were reunited in that episode, and the fact that they marched arm in arm, leading the whole Camelot crew into actual Camelot was the reassurance that a lot of us needed! 

However, I think one of the most exciting spoiler days ever was for 5×04. The information came in drips that day. JMo and Colin’s doubles are on set. Jmo’s double is in white and Colin’s is in an altered version of his pirate gear. There’s a horse on set. The doubles are on a horse. JMo and Colin are on set! Colin is on a horse! Colin and JMo are on a fake horse! They are on the fake horse together! Colin and JMo are standing amongst middlemists! Now they’re kissing amongst the middlemists!  

Also, the day that both Killian and Emma’s names were spotted on Excalibur during 5×10 shooting, that was a hilariously fun day around these parts.  

Good times. (I’ll stop now, because with shooting days I could go forever) 

Beyond that I’ve just loved all the creative output from CS fans. I’ve never in all my years being a fan of things seen such a bounty or such a large, talented fandom.  Fics, gifs, art, meta, what a joy, and I love that I will be able to enjoy all those things for many years to come!

Thank you to everyone who has made this experience great, and I’m not going anywhere.  I’ll be here to continue appreciating these fantastic characters and I hope you will be too!

Man there have been so many memorable moments in this fandom, but for me the first one that was just incredible for me was definitely the first kiss photos, and that GIF from EW and then the kiss sneak peek sans music (you all know the one), that day was so exhilarating, we were dying of fangirl flailing, it was such a fun day.

The next one for me was the set spoilers for the CS movie, seeing Colin in Prince Charles outfit had us all flailing all over the place.

Obviously the 2014 SDCC was amazing, but 2015 SDCC was EPIC, so many goodies from that day, and 2016 SDCC was wonderful as well even if we never saw that photo shoot from EW 😒 lol.

Next, definitely meeting Colin at EA con was so wonderful and a one-in-a-lifetime experience, and what made it even better was meeting some wonderful fellow CSers there, the lovely @missfords who was so gracious to me.

And of course, all the amazing friendships I was blessed to find here, I’ve met so many amazing, caring and wonderful people in this fandom, thank you everyone for making these 7 years such a special time in my life ❤️❤️❤️

(And I’m finishing here before I start bawling in the middle of work lol).

I just saw about @cat-sophia​‘s idea for a CS GTKY and I love it! So here I go 🙂

1. Your favorite CS team work moment.

Their team work in 6×21 “Last Rites”, it was just perfect gah, my two beautiful heroes :’)

2. Close your eyes. What place do you see when you think about your happy, peaceful place. What do you do there?

Anywhere I can be by the sea, relaxing by reading a book while I listen to the ocean waves.

3. Recommend us TV show currently in TV that you love to watch (or two or three…)

Murdoch Mysteries, I am a sucker for a good detective show and this one is just so unique, the protagonist is a cinnamon roll who is also super clever and it is set in Toronto around the turn of the twentieth century, and they love to do little nudges at “what ifs” and basically have Murdoch come up with little inventions for his crime solving that are just modern things, so little nods to cell phones and walkie-talkies and some more complex, it’s just amazing. Plus there’s a lot of badass and awesome ladies too, starting by Dr. Julia Ogden who is just gah (plus Murdoch and Julia are definitely OTP). Also they have “cameos” by a lot of famous people, like Nikola Tesla or Hellen Keller.

I also adore Call the Midwife, and have recently binged Legends of Tomorrow which is both hilarious and heartwarming (imo at least), and also The Flash (Westallen ftw).

And finally, Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card who is running rn and it’s become such an intriguing plot; plus Sakura and Syaoran might be the cutest OTP ever OMG.

4. Do you have TV show you want to see? Maybe based on your favorite books?

At the moment I can’t think of any show I want to see that I’m not seeing yet.

Last week i started to create “where CSers live” database. Bellow you can see the numbers i got based on messages i got.

continents (blue) with the sum of the shipmates that live there, next are countries (red) – big ones are additionally divided into states or provinces (with numbers of shipmate living there).

So like, can we all unite and just create an influx of new CS content to flush out all the nastiness that happened last night?  Because I have a desperate need to cleanse my pallet after all this bullshit.  I think I’m gonna do another digital painting of CS and their baby.  Who wants to join in?

If I knew how to paint I would help you, but I’m in and I can help you finding ideas!

Honestly, you don’t have to paint.  I’m down with seeing any CS content.  Write fic, make edits, put together a CS inspired playlist, do anything.  Any contribution would be welcome.

So I also wish I hadn’t read those interviews. Maybe I am still feeling pessimistic from the announcement but those didn’t leave me feeling very good about next season.

Oh nonnie, I feel ya. But, I’m gonna try to rewind about 45 minutes to when my OTP got their happy ending. Cause honestly, I just need to let myself be happy about that. I hope you can, too. Cause we all deserve it!

Since we don’t have any power at all to change what does or doesn’t happen in that writers’ room for Season 7, I am going to do everything I can to just shake off the “what if’s” for a while.

(trust me, I sat here for about 5 minutes just not knowing what to think, so it’s okay to be a bit bummed) I just don’t want you to let the unknown take away the pretty awesome finale we just got. 

Not to mention, I’m looking forward to some kick-ass post-finale fics full of tons of domestic Captain Swan. And I know a lot of writers are working on @captainswanbigbang stories right now, so we’re gonna have a slew of amazing MC’s coming over the next few months. 

There’s a lot too look forward to. 

I’m gonna stick S7 on the back burner and let it simmer. 😉

I am 1000% looking forward to all the new MC fics about CS’s happy beginning, like GIVE THEM ALL TO ME.

I’m honestly electing to ignore that last scene with adult Henry and Lucy happened and that the storybook page was the end of the show, and I for sure will not be reading another A&E interview.

Calling all Captain Swan Fans!!!!!            

I
know today has been a wonderful day and a hard day all at the same
time. We are all still thriving off the hype of last nights episode, but
were devastated by Jen’s departure.

Fret not! As a Big Bang from
the CS fandom as a whole, I’m going to make a CS fan video to the
song A Happy Beginning. To do that however; I need your help.

The
goal is to make a video of fans, like myself, who are completely in
love with this ship, holding handwritten or typed lyrics that will go
along with a certain part of the song. Many, many, music videos have
been made this way. It would be cool for everyone to come up with a unique and
self-expressive way to do this.

Also, if you have videos or
pictures of interactions with other Captain Swan fans and you want them
included that would be great! This is basically just going to be a a CS
fandom love fest. Something we can give back as a thank you to Colin and
JMO for stealing our hearts onscreen for 5 seasons.

CS Fanwork Appreciation

In an effort to try and combat my sadness I’m going to be rereading all the fanfic I love in this fandom, both old and new, and writing detailed reviews of why I love them so much and what makes them special to me. I will do the same for the beautiful fanart/videos I love as well.

This will continue indefinitely.

Fanworks are how we can keep this show going and keep the love for our ship alive regardless of what happens on screen, and to me there is nothing I love more about fandom than fanfiction and fanart. It’s one of the purest forms of love and expression and people pour so much of themselves into these works.

I hope others will consider joining in and doing the same.

Regardless of any inner fandom conflicts or opinions I think the one thing that unites us all is a love for this ship and the work that was inspired by them.

I’ll be using the tag #CSFanworkAppreciation if you want to follow, add your own appreciation, or block.

I will stay on the fandom too, also to read all the wonderful fanfic and to finally finish my Once Upon a CS fanvids now that we have their whole story.

I have definitely made some very great friends on here and I don’t want to lose that so yeah…
