Emma’s life motto
has always been: “Look out for yourself and you’ll never get hurt”. It worked quite well for
her, until she noticed him sitting in the dark corner, lost in thoughts, and by
the looks of it not too pleasant ones.
Intrigued
by the man, and recognizing a kindred spirit, she breaks one of her rules and
strikes a conversation with him. He wasn’t
interested in any company at first, but in time he opened up to her, and she to him.
He
returned regularly to the tavern, and they spent many nights talking way past
closing time until one night they took their relationship to the next level. They both took a chance on each other and it was the best decision they could’ve made.
