“I’ve got an order for a hamburger with no pickles and no onions, chicken fingers, those two are sharing an order of fries, and a cobb salad.”
The bell over the door of the shop rang while Killian was handing over the tickets to Bart who grunted his agreement.
“I’ve also got a meatloaf special with mashed potatoes and green beans, and a chicken sandwich with onion rings,” he continued, knowing that Jim would manage the customer. “That sandwich is grilled, not fried, and they don’t want any sauces on it- no ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise, got it?”
Another grunt. Killian could hear an argument at the door. He needed to check on that, but he also needed to get these last orders in, and Bart was too slammed to want to decipher his chicken-scratch orders.
“Last table ordered breakfast,” he said. “One blueberry short stack, one buttermilk short stack, one french toast, and one oatmeal. Scrambled eggs on all three from the grill, aye?”
This time it was a short, sharp nod, and Killian was able to turn to face the next challenge. It was supposed to have been the drinks for the three new tables, but instead it was the woman standing at his counter, dark eyes narrowed at him and blood-red lips pursed.
“Ms. Mills!” he said, hoping he sounded less horrified than he felt. “What brings you to the Jolly Roger? Can I offer you a table?”
“No, thank you Mr. Jones, I just-”
“Killian.”
Regina stopped and blinked, looking at him in surprise. “I beg your pardon?”
“I’ve asked you before to call me Killian, not Mr. Jones.”
“In which case, you should call me Regina. It seems like we should be on first name terms, considering.”
“Aye, as you like,” he said, thinking privately that it would be a cold day in hell before he called Emma’s mother by her first name. It would be like calling the Queen of England Lizzie to her face. “Can I make you a cup of coffee?”

Killian surprisingly was a good research partner.
It wasn’t necessarily his actual research skills that were stellar but rather his ability to gain the assistance they needed. Where Emma had been met with stony faces and skeptical looks, Killian was greeted with smiles and batted eyelashes. The clerk at the Chilmark Town Office didn’t so much as look at Emma but rather focused all of her attention on him, tossing her hair over her shoulder and laughing at his remarks, even the ones that weren’t remotely funny.
I’m seeing a lot of discussion about this on my dash, and wanted to add in what I think is a very important point in regards to Wish Hook’s redemption, without post hijacking…
The only reason (IMO) that Wish Hook’s redemption arc works at all is because of OG Hook’s, not in spite of it (or in contrast to it).
The reason why we know Wish Hook can be a better person, and has that capacity for it, is because of OG Killian having already done it. Without the first five seasons of seeing Killian go from being the revenge-thirsty pirate to the redeemed hero, Wish Hook suddenly going from this
to this
Doesn’t connect. Because we wouldn’t understand what’s going on in his head here if we didn’t already know how he thinks and what he’s motivated by.
They aren’t mutually exclusive. You need the knowledge brought about by OG Hook’s story (including the very important backstory that they both share, as well as OG Killian’s story post-meeting Emma), otherwise everything that comes from this shift in Wish Hook’s demeanor and behavior from here on out falls flat.
In that same sort of vein, because of the first five seasons of Killian’s redemption playing out on screen, it negates the need for them to have to fit it into the story in Season 7. It’s not that Wish Hook doesn’t have to pay for his past sins, we just already know he will.
Why?
Because an alternate version of him already did.
And as this show repeatedly emphasized over and over, they are the same person at their core… they’ve just gone through different journeys to both get to that place where they are the redeemed hero.
Do you ever stop and think about the fact that the child of our OTP is literally named after the theme of the entire show? Like… they could have named that kid anything (don’t lie, I’m not the only one who was expecting a dead relative name, and it would have been in A&E’s wheelhouse to also name her Alice), but they didn’t. They gave her a brand new name, and one that has been the heart beat of this show since the pilot graced our tv screens.
How many other shippers can say that? How many can say that it is canon that their OTP’s kid was named after the central theme of the entire show? I just… it gives me tingles every time I think about it.
The pirate princess Hope Swan-Jones it the better thing that this show could gave us (and her parents of course)
Okay, I know that a good majority of us read fanfic. And AO3 is quite popular, I love that site.
I recently just came across a site on my laptop while I was looking some klance fics to read. I found one and clicked on the link which said it was an AO3 fanfic. Norton Security prevented me from accessing the site because it ‘may be impersonating AO3 to steal your personal or financial information’
If you find a link to a fanfic and it has ‘www.archiveofourown.com’ run for the hills. The true AO3 is .org not .com. It may seem obvious but it’s pretty easy to miss. Just letting all my fellow fanfic addicts out there know that there is a scammer.
I’m trying to tag all the fandoms I’m in so that those people are aware.
What kind of person impersonates a well known fanfic site to steal information. Such a heinous crime. I will admit, this person was pretty smart. All kinds of people read fanfics, especially teenagers. Just think of that and how easy it would be.
Please reblog to every fandom and if you find any other fanfic sites being impersonated please add them to this post. Some of us fanfic readers are close to being adults or are already adults, but there are still twelve year olds and younger who don’t pay attention to things they find on the internet.
