Killian as Dark Hook: ‘How could she do this to me? How can I hurt her how she hurt me?’ Immediately followed by ‘No, you will not hurt her. I love her. I will not hurt her. It has to be me. I want to be a hero. I want that to be the man she remembers.’
Killian in Underworld before helping Liam: ‘She came for me, but I dont deserve this. I don’t deserve a happy ending. I shouldn’t leave.’
Killian in Underworld after Liam: ‘I am worthy of this. I love this woman so much. She is my true love! I can hardly believe it! But wait, what do you mean it’s not there. I can’t watch her leave again! How can I say goodbye? I can’t move on until I help her up there.’
Killian with Zeus: ‘no I’m not ready to move on, but I promised. Emma is where I belong.’
Killian stepping out where Zeus took him: ‘Swan! My love! I’m here!’
Killian s6: ‘something is wrong with Emma. Yes of course I’ll move in with you Emma. I’m sorry I kept the shears, but I needed to try to keep a way to save you. I only want your heart’s desire Swan. I really want to marry you. Your dad gave his blessing! Wait What do you mean I killed my Swan’s grandfather? How do I tell her? But she said Yes! No Emma, dont give it back. I’m not worthy of this wonderful life. But I’ll fight for it. I didn’t mean to leave Swan! I’ll get back to her. Emma and Storybrooke is where I belong. I’ll always always be by her side. She said yes again!’
Killian to Emma before wedding: ‘no dont say goodbye’
Killian at wedding: ‘she is my true love. My heart belongs to her for eternity.’
Killian at end of s6: ‘we’ll get to that honeymoon Swan’
Killian in 7×02 beginning: ‘this isn’t an ending swan. We’ll have a second chance. And we’ll have a child together my love.’
Killian at end of 7×02: ‘I know it’s hard to leave Henry, but we must let him find himself. And we’re having a baby.’
Killian holding his loves in his arms in 7×22: ‘these are my true loves. This is my happy beginning, middle, and end. I’ll love them for all eternity and beyond’
With their family and friends under Calypso’s spell, Hook and Emma find themselves alone on the mission to rescue Anne as they face an important and unexpected decision.

I can tell you that what happens in this chapter was what gave me the final push to start writing this story. This is also quite possibly the most important chapter of the whole fic, and it is definitely the one I enjoyed writing the most. I hope you like it 🙂
Storybrooke – Present Day
Killian
remained still, his eyes practically drilling holes in the pawnshop’s wooden
tiles. He was determined to find Calypso and end this centuries-old feud for
once and for all, but his body felt heavier than usual and it was hard to move
his feet. Even if they defeated Calypso, what would he say to his mother
afterwards? There were far too many words to say, too many feelings to share –
and still plenty of answers to demand. When exactly had she arrived in
Storybrooke? Why hadn’t she reached out to him sooner? Why did his and Emma’s
kiss break her curse?
With a
slight hunch to his shoulders, he reached for Emma’s hand. His life had completely
turned upside down in only a matter of hours. How was he supposed to deal with
all of this? How was he supposed to feel about a great part of his life being a
lie?
“All
this time I thought my mother had abandoned us, but she was always with us,
with me,” he muttered, taking some comfort from the way Emma’s thumb
caressed his own. “I have to get to her.”
“Killian,
wait,” she stopped his hasty march to the door, one hand wrapping around
his arm. She could sense how unsettled he was, his droopy posture and bowed
head a clear indicator that he was struggling to coming to terms with what they
had learnt. She knew from experience that jumping into the next crisis without
properly dealing with overwhelming feelings would only make it worse. “I
know how you feel. After I broke the curse, I didn’t have time to process the
truth about myself, because the next thing I knew I was getting sucked into a
hat that took me and my mother back to the Enchanted Forest.”
Her words
had Killian lifting his head, encouraging her to go on. “And while that
ended up leading me to you, I still didn’t have time to make peace with the
fact that my parents were fairytale characters who had never stopped loving me.
I felt like I was going crazy. I don’t want the same thing to happen to
you.”
There was a
soft smile on Killian’s face upon the realization that this unexpected reveal
about his parents was very much similar to what Emma had gone through after she
broke the curse and found out the truth about herself and her family. Kindred
spirits, indeed.
“We
will find your mother, I promise. But you need to breathe first.”
OMG this update was EVERYTHING dfgkjuhjgdsjkg I didn’t see the baby reveal coming and I was so glad when Charming and Snow were so contrite over the things they said to him while cursed. And Rumple, of course he would still be a treacherous bastard, I hope Swan-Jones cygnet beats his ass.
Emma sits on the porch with a glass of lemonade in her hands and a smile on her face. Her husband has taken it upon himself to wash the Bug and this time, he has a very special apprentice.
Hope reaches her little hand into the bucket and withdraws a soapy sponge. She giggles lightly at the foamy mess as Killian shows her how to wring out the excess water. They wash the car together, Killian running his own sponge over the roof and the windows and four-year-old Hope focusing on the doors and wheel wells, which are as high as she can reach.
A morning like this is something that for a long time, Emma never thought possible even in her wildest dreams. But now, as she watches her husband and her daughter soap up her car while also “accidentally” flinging foam at each other, she’s struck by how real it is.
How perfect it is.
And how, in just one moment, she can make it even more perfect.
Setting the glass of lemonade down on the wicker table, Emma slowly descends the stairs and tiptoes up to her husband and daughter. Killian has tossed the garden hose aside while performing soaping duties, a fact which Emma uses to her advantage. She picks up the hose, aims the nozzle at Killian, and squeezes the trigger.
The spray takes both him and Hope by surprise. “Bloody hell!” Killian shouts, shivering from the blast of cold water. Hope looks from her shocked father to her grinning mother and shrieks with laughter. “Do me now, Mama! Do me!”
Emma happily turns the hose on her daughter, spraying her with a gentle mist that has the girl giggling in the sun. So focused is she on spraying Hope that Killian easily snatches it and turns the spray on her.
Hope’s laughter echoes through the morning as her mother and father chase each other through the yard, spraying each other and her in succession.
In no time at all, they’re soaked. “White flag,” Emma cries, waving her hands in the air.
Killian smirks and looks down at their daughter. “What say you, little love? Shall we offer the enemy amnesty?”
Hope pretends to think, her blonde pigtails dripping. “Aye, captain.”
“Very well, then,” KIllian grins and turns to Emma. “We accept your surrender, on one condition.”
“I loved the musical episode. I was so happy that I got to be a part of that and I felt as if it was a very beautiful wrap-up of who Emma has become. It was also a chance to see her completely unguarded and absolutely in love and vulnerable with Hook at the wedding. It’s hard to imagine, when you watch her in the pilot, being someone who could grow to that place. I love that I got to take her on such an incredible journey”- Jennifer Morrison
